The HotFile homepage is stylishly simple. Users are greeted by a black and grey header with hints of vibrant orange. The HotFile logo appears inside of a large orange tab at the top, left hand side of the homepage while five navigational links help users find their way around. The site lets users get right to work uploading files by including the upload tool as the only other element on the homepage. The rest of the homepage is made up of open white space, giving the user a pleasant, clutter free experience that works well for this type of service.
Users are given three membership options to choose from. Each includes unlimited parallel downloads, high speed downloads, no download queuing, no advertisements, download accelerator support and Hot/Direct linking for files. Users who choose the one month plan pay around $10 and receive unlimited downloading and up to 100 GB of Hot/Direct linking. The mid range plan includes six months of service for around $35. This membership upgrades the user to up to 600 GBs of Hot/Direct linking. The one year plan costs around $55 and includes up to 1,200 GBs of Hot/Direct linking. Users can pay by credit card or by Paypal.
